COMPLETED INDUSTRIAL PROJECTS:

1. TENARIS – PRUDENTIAL STEEL (May – Aug 2011)

Sealtech Restorations Ltd was the winner of the tender for the asbestos abatement in Mill#1 at Tenaris Prudential Steel. It was by all accounts the largest spray applied asbestos removal project in Calgary and most likely in all of Alberta for 2011.  The necessary coordination from all sides meant constant communication to ensure maximum efficiency during the removal process. As the project had to revolve around an operational steel mill with ever changing shifts (with several weeks at 24-hour operation), Sealtech Restorations Ltd had to provide and ensure availability of professional staff at any time of the day or night.

Over all, this Calgary project was the biggest asbestos removal undertaken for Tenaris in Canada.  It had the potential for the largest disruption to their employees and its operation; however, the dedication, cooperation and overall effort of the abatement contractor Sealtech allowed this project to be an overwhelming success.

FACTS:

• During 4 months of the Tenaris project, Sealtech Restorations Ltd removed approximately 18,000 square feet of insulation materials from walls;
• The project was completed with zero safety incidents, within budget, and on time.
